want, do, feel. macbeth.
We’ll look at MACBETH by Shakespeare together for 2 days.
We’ll meet 10am - 5pm.
We’ll be on our feet most of the time.
We’ll act as if we’re rehearsing the play.
We’ll look at text work, character development & acting technique.
We’ll be the same group the whole time, so we’ll be building community.
what?
Primarily our concern will be engaging with Stanislavski’s system of WANT - DO - FEEL. In other words, looking at how we can engage an strong need in the body, then, how we can put that into concrete action, and finally seeing how this process can yield up a depth of feeling.
We’ll look mainly at duologues between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in order to deepen our understanding of the Stanislavskian process.

Observer places
This offer means you are given the chance to drop in and out, for 1, 2, or all 6 weeks, and watch the work unfold. We can often grow more for watching others work than anything else. We’re able to see epiphanies, watch errors get corrected, and see from the outside what we’re so used to experiencing from the inside.
The Observer Places will give you the chance to:
Watch the work of others
Engage in any physical group explorations on character, world, LABAN, Chekhov
Partake in any Meisner Technique.
